7-week fit out which included a shutdown over the Christmas period. Our first time working in a busy airport departure lounge. Working closely with the client, design team and the MAG team involved with the refurbishment of the airport. This was a blank shell without even electrics.
Work Undertaken
- Deliveries made by driving down the runway out of hours once airport had no planes or customers
- Work permits for every staff member on site which included for checks
- Installation of hoarding
- Floors had to be levelled prior to Karndean flooring being installed throughout
- Construct new primary grid using Metsec purlin and Unistrut structure that formed support structure for the MF ceiling and cable trays for the power
- Full electrical installation including lighting, general power, music and PA System
- Full Sprinkler System
- Full HVAC System
- Changing room, stock room and staff areas constructed
- Security shutters
- Decorations and fixtures and fittings installed
- Signage internally and externally
